At Kinisium, we don't think you should have to trade privacy for safety. So when we built Kini, we designed it to protect your home without ever watching you back. No tracking. No data harvesting. No strings attached.

We know a lot of responsible gun owners feel the same way about surveillance and digital footprints as they do about home safety: cautious, and with good reason. If you've ever wondered who's watching you, this one's for you.

We also built Kini as an alternative to cameras, for people who want real-time awareness without the subscription fees, privacy trade-offs, or hours of footage cameras come with. Here's exactly how far we took that.

No GPS. No Location Tracking. None.

There's no GPS chip in Kini. No cellular module. No way for it to track where it is. We didn't build that capability in, which means we genuinely have no idea where your Kini is installed or what it's protecting. We couldn't tell you even if we wanted to.

The Only Thing We Ask For Is a Phone Number

Kini alerts you the moment it detects motion by sending a text message. To do that, all we need is a phone number. Not your name, not your address, not your email. Want to use a prepaid or burner phone for total anonymity? Go for it. We built Kini to work that way on purpose.

Anything else you enter during setup, like your name or email, is optional. Kini works exactly the same without it.

We Never Log Your IP Address

A lot of companies collect your IP address quietly in the background to build a picture of where you are and what you do. We don't. Kini never collects or stores your IP address, at setup or at any point after. Nothing about how you use Kini runs through us.

No Subscriptions. No Data Mining. Not Now, Not Ever.

Kini has never required a subscription, and that isn't changing. Next month we're launching a free Kini iPhone app that lets you manage settings and get faster push alerts. Free means free. No hidden cost, no data trade.

Want No Record at All? Turn Off the Log.

Some Kini owners like having an activity log to review, especially if they've turned off audible alerts and just want a record of what happened. Others want nothing on file, period. That's your call. Turn off the activity log and there's no history of when your Kini was triggered or how often. Not for you to see, and not for us either.

This isn't a small setting buried in a menu. It's part of how we think Kini should work.
